In the field of signalling - Volume II

Alkmaar Railway Signaling Australia in collaboration with Pacific Global (pvt) ltd, Sri Lanka was selected as the turnkey sub-contractor for the Design, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Training and Maintenance of the signaling and level crossing protection system.

The modern signaling system was the largest and the most important sub-contract in the US$. 289 m. Matara and Beliatta Railway line extension project executed by China Machinery Corporation China. The project commenced in 2018 and was successfully completed in 2019.

Project Brief

SIL-4 certified Alstom USA made inter locking system.
XP4 controller modules
Data communication through 24 core fiber optic cable, USA made ELIXS modules connected.
MOXA EDS408A modules fixed at each 7 barrier protection cabins. 14 barrier machines provided.
Fully automatic level crossing protection system under frequency feed track for train motion detection.
Signalling can be operated from CTC (Centralised traffic control) in Colombo.
